Based in Oxford but with an online store Velvet Brown are a family run home accessories store. And a lovely store front it is too. The accessory range for home interiors spans every room in any house, and the website is well presented with a room by room menu choice, presenting current stock within each category. Woe betide you if you purchase a kitchen accessory and put it in the bathroom though :-) From kitchens to bathrooms they have something for everyone.

Velvet Brown have gone to a lot of trouble to design a pleasing site which uses subtle ranges of colour to present a very comprehensive list of home accessories. By the owners admission they like ‘nice’ things for the home and this is plain to see from their comprehensive product ranges. With many of the more expected accessories to be seen there are also some delightful surprises which come and go on the site including angel wings made in plaster weighing in at a mere £31 to some charming retro clocks also reasonably priced.

The home interior accessories market is a hard one to pin down as many interior stores will import from developing countries and what the end home owner is buying is simply a prefab cheap accessory, however Velvet Brown seem to have attempted to address this with some well made items for the home, both inside and out as they have an outdoor living section of their site.
